However, it's not yet very effective for overseas users because, according to Authorization No. 82 of 2012 on the Implementation of Electronic Transactions and Systems, PANDI cannot designate direct registrars abroad to register .id domain names.
Currently, .id domain name registrations can be made through 22 registrars authorized by PANDI, including those from government agencies, namely the Ministry of Communications and Information (Kemkominfo) and TNI headquarters. .id domain name registrations can also be made on Juming.com.
