After the previous introduction to domain names, I believe you already understand the basics of domain names. You know that domain names have a validity period and must be renewed on time to continue using them. So, if for some reason you forget to renew and your domain name expires, what should you do? Is there any way to save it?

Is there any way to save your expired domain name?

① Generally speaking, after a domain name expires, there is a 45-day grace period for renewal (the retention period for top-level domains registered in China is approximately 30 days). During this period, users can simply renew the domain name and use it normally.

② If the renewal grace period expires and the domain name is not renewed, it will enter a 30-day redemption period at a high price. During this period, users can pay a high fee to obtain the right to use the domain name.

③ If the domain name is not redeemed after the redemption period, it will enter a deletion period, generally lasting five days, during which it cannot be redeemed. After the deletion period, the domain name will be released for public registration.

So, even if your domain name expires for some reason, it is important to take advantage of the renewal grace period and the redemption period. Once a domain name reaches the deletion period, there's really nothing you can do about it, and you're very likely to miss out on your dream domain.

Here, I recommend my favorite domain name search tool, JuCha, which accurately checks domain name expiration dates. It displays the expiration date, allowing you to renew your domain name as it approaches its expiration date. Don't forget!
