Amazon plans to launch three new top-level domains (TLDs) next month: .free, .hot, and .spot. Originally filed as part of the new gTLD expansion in 2012, these domains are now ready for public registration after years of preparation.
Important Dates:
Priority Use Period: Starting April 2, 2025, Amazon will provide priority registration opportunities for trademark holders and certain user groups.
Early Access Period: From May 12 to 17, 2025, this period adopts a Dutch auction model, and the registration fee decreases every day.
May 12: About $6,000.
May 13: About $3,000.
May 17: About $200.

Public registration: These new top-level domains will be available to all users starting May 19, 2025.
